Furniture Manufacturing

• All Year; 2 Units
This course is designed to introduce the student to the world of manufacturing and establish a foundation for manufacturing knowledge in the furniture industry. Students will explore basic manufacturing, materials, tools, techniques, and processes. Students will have first-hand experience in learning how to safely operate equipment to produce products under the instruction and guidance of knowledgeable instructors.  Upon completion of the program, students will have the knowledge and experience to obtain a quality job in the furniture industry if they so choose. Also, students will be eligible to receive the National Center for Construction Educational Research (NCCER) international certification as well as dual credit opportunities.
